Burgas welcomes Chinese New Year with events showing modern Chinese culture

The coastal city of Burgas welcomes the Chinese New Year for the second time with events showing the modern Chinese culture. The year of Earth Pig was welcomed symbolically with a photo exhibition named “Joy to the World. Happy Chinese New Year!”. The photos present 60 special moments of the celebrations of the Chenese New Year on five continents. The second exhibition presents the talent of the children from Burgas who took part at the children’s painting competition “Dreams for Europe and China”. Over 240 young painters presented their drawings. All paintings were sent to China on the Internet to take part at a common exhibition of Chinese and Bulgarian children. The visitors of the exhibition in Burgas will enjoy a rich cultural programe, thematic workshop on Chinese crafts and cartoon films.
