Bulgaria calls on Ukraine to guarantee the rights of minorities

We are sending clear message in support of the independence, the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Ukraine. We also support the diplomatic efforts towards a sustainable and peaceful settlement of the conflict in the eastern part of this country, Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva who attended the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels said. Ukraine’s progress achieved against the backdrop of continuing threats over its sovereignty and territorial integrity must be acknowledged, Minister Zaharieva noted. Ekaterina Zaharieva called on Kyiv to guarantee the rights of the minorities in Ukraine, especially during the fulfilment of reforms in education, state language policy and decentralization.
