The Bulgarian rock metal band Sevi was founded in 2010 by singer Svetlana Bliznakova and bass guitarist Rally Velinov. Later, different musicians joined the band, but Sevi and Rali remain the main pillars of the rock band and authors of its pieces. The current band also consists of Delyan Ketipov (guitar) and Pavlin Ivanov (percussions). At the end of 2010 Sevi recorded their first single "Can't stand the pain" and later a video was released to this song. In the beginning of 2012 the band released their debut album named What Lies Beyond. Two years later they went on their first European tour. Their concert album The other side of Sevi was released in 2013 and in 2016 their second studio album The battle never ends was released. Italian metal guitarist Luca Princiotta joined their second album. Sevi and Luca Princiotta recorded together the single Destiny. Sevi band went on a six-month tour with their album The battle never ends and held over 30 concerts in Bulgaria and abroad. In September 2016 they opened for world famous band Europe in Arena Armeec hall in Sofia. Their style cannot be defined precisely, but they are very close to the melodic rock metal. Several days ago the band presented their album Follow Me in a music club in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia. It contains 11 songs. Svetlana Bliznakova and Rally Velinov told Radio Bulgaria details about their album Follow Me and their tour.

Our concert in the beginning of March was truly emotional for us and our audience, Svetlana says. This is our third studio album. We worked over this project for eighteen months. I am happy with the fact that we managed to draw the attention of world celebrities such as Thomas Vikstrom from the Swedish metal band Therion, the German guitarist Jen Majura from Evanescence who also took part at the recording. We worked with wonderful Bulgarian musicians such as Alexandra Zerner (guitar) who contributed to the arrangement as well. My brother has been taking active part in the writing of the lyrics to our songs. We are very grateful to the former member of our band Petar Bratanov and to all who helped us one way or another to fulfill the Follow Me project. Marco Barusso, music engineer of Italian gothic metal band LACUNA COIL and Eros Ramazzotti worked with us again.

We wanted to distinguish ourselves from the so-called mainstream sounding from the very beginning, Rali specified. We did not want to fall into the category classical rock or classical heavy metal. We stayed true to ourselves over the years. We create what we really like. Our three albums are different in terms of conception. The first one sounds more classical, the second album was heavier and the third is the heaviest of all. We do not perform together with other bands, because of the specifics of our music. It is very difficult to find a band that would match our style.

The national tour of Sevi band started on March 23 in Yambol. The band has concerts in Plovdiv, Dobrich, Ruse, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Shumen, Varna, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo and Pleven. In the summer of 2019 the musicians from Sevi band will attend big festivals in Bulgaria and will play on one stage with the American metal bands Disturbed and W.A.S.P.
