Photo: library

Until May 15, 2030 foreigners have been registered as seasonally employed in Bulgaria. This is 2 times more in comparison to the same period in 2018, said Social Minister Biser Petkov. Ukrainians predominate - 1470. About 400 Moldovan citizens are also applying under the Labor Migration Agreement signed between Bulgaria and Moldova. At the beginning of the tourist season, the need for temporary labor is obvious, and the Employment Agency has established a system for rapid processing of applications. In 2018, there was a strong demand for imported labor, with nearly 8,000 registered. The most sought after in the summer were hotel workers, chefs and waiters, the minister explained.
