Council of Ministers of Culture in South-East Europe establish permanent fund for cultural cooperation

A permanent fund to support the work of the artists from the Balkans and the cultural cooperation in the region will be established at Bulgaria’s proposal, the Council of Ministers of Culture in the South-East Europe decided. Representatives of the European Commission and UNESCO attended the forum in Sofia. The countries will decide during the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union how exactly the fund will function and how much each country will pay in the form of a contribution fee. The fund will unite resources for common projects and cultural exchange, Bulgaria’s Minister of Culture Boil Banov said.
