Within the frameworks of his two-day official visit to Bulgaria, Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas met, last night, with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
The two discussed current bilateral issues, as well as items from the EU agenda. Boyko Borissov and Heiko Maas emphasized that the two countries remain strategic partners on commerce and investments. In 2018 trade between the two countries amounted to 8.153 billion euro, or 11.8 percent more than in 2017. German investments in this country in 2018 amount to 153.7 million euro.
Today Heiko Maas is to hold meetings with President Rumen Radev, and with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva, at whose invitation the visit is taking place.
