The bronze statue before the temple of the Holy Virgin is the latest attraction for the citizens and visitors of the city of Plovdiv. The sculpture is entitled “Embrace” and is the work of prominent sculptor Mihaela Danovska aka Oda Jaune. 23 talents from seven countries take part in the third edition of the National Young Opera Singers contest, named after dive Gena Dimitrova. The contest is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra and Pleven Municipality. The music event is to continue until May 23. It was opened with a performance of the laureate of the previous edition of the contest Alexander Nosikov.
