Toplivo-2 is appealing the choice of supplier of the pipes for the Bulgarian-Greek gas interconnector.
The company has lodged the complaint with the Commission for Protection of Competition against the ICGB Bulgarian-Italian-Greek project company which is building the interconnector. The appeal comes just one day before the prime ministers of Bulgaria and Greece Boyko Borissov and Alexis Tsipras are to give the start to the construction work.
Toplivo-2 was eliminated from the tender for the delivery of pipes because of omissions in the documents submitted. The company declared the tender to be flawed stating that its price offer was much better than the Greek offer, but did not provide the media with any details.
