Bulgarian ultramarathon runner Krasimir Georgiev has successfully completed the challenge of running 1,200 kilometres from the Black to the Adriatic Sea.
Georgiev started the run on 8 May, passing through Bourgas, Plovdiv, Sofia, the North Macedonian towns of Skopje, Bitola, Ohridр and the Albanian Elbasan, Tirana and Durrës along Pan-European corridor No. 8, finishing before 5 PM Bulgarian time.
The Corridor 8 challenge took place under the motto “connectivity” and aims to unite the active people of Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Albania, but also to promote the development of infrastructure links, sport, tourism and business among the three countries.
