The Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition rejected the complaint of Toplivo-2 company against the selection of the supplier of the pipes for the gas interconnecor with Greece. The complaint was filed on May 21 this year when the company was removed from the competition and the project company ICGB, where the Bulgarian Energy Holding and the Greek-Italian company IGI Poseidon have equal shares, selected the Greek Corinth Pipeworks Pipe Industry. The decision of the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition may be appealed before the Supreme Administrative Court. Toplivo-2 company already appealed another decision of the Commission for Protection of Competition before this court, which allowed a preliminary fulfillment of the contract with Corinth Pipeworks Pipe Industry, in order to avoid suspension of the construction of the interconnector which has to start functioning by the end of 2020.
