The document would only be valid on the territory of Bulgaria and would give the holder the same rights as Bulgarian citizens, such as the right to vote, for example. The legislative initiative aims to help mainly persons of Bulgarian origin who live in Ukraine, Moldova, North Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, but other countries as well.
