The town of Belogradchik (Northwest Bulgaria) hosts the fourth edition of the annual opera festival Opera of the Peaks – Belogradchik Rocks. The festival programme includes Il Trovatore opera by Giuseppe Verdi, as well as the spectacular shows of the Sofia Opera and Ballet Carmina Burana- a ballet on music by Carl Orff, Mamma Mia musical (based on Abba songs), etc. Unusual stage decisions amidst the magical beauty of the Belogradchik Rocks help the audience feel their favorite pieces in a different way this year, academician Plamen Kartaloff, Director of the Sofia Opera and Ballet commented.
