Total income per person in a Bulgarian household in the second quarter of 2019 is 791 euros. Compared to the same period of 2018, this is a rise of 4.9%, national statistics reported. At the same time, the total expenses per capita in a household increases by 5.3 per cent to 717 euros. In the income structure, the highest relative share goes to the salary. It forms 57.8% of the income of Bulgarians. Pensions follow with 27.6% and self-employment income - 6.2%. In the structure of total expenditures, the largest relative share is that of money spent for food - 31.4%, followed by housing expenses - 15.5%, taxes and social security - 14.2% and transport and communications expenses - 11.7%.
