30 years after the beginning of democratic changes in Bulgaria, almost half (46%) of the Bulgarians are prone to agree that the state is to blame for most of the problems in their lives. 42% disagree with such a statement and 12% are not sure. The result is according to a survey by the Gallup International polling agency. Respondents between the ages of 18 and 25 (or those born after 1989) were more likely to blame themselves for the problems in their lives, rather than the state. 68% of those surveyed believe that the most important thing in life is justice and fairness as laws are not always so important.
