Travels by Bulgarians abroad up in July

In July, 2019 Bulgarians travelled abroad 779, 500 times, which is 7.2 percent up on July, 2018.

The increase in travel compared to the same month of last year is valid for: the UK – by 11.4%, Romania - by 11.2%, Turkey - by 8.4%, Germany - by 8.1%, Greece - by 6.9%, the Republic of North Macedonia - by 4.8%, Spain - by 4.5%, Austria - by 3.8%, the National Statistical Institute says.

The number of visits to Bulgaria by foreign nationals in July 2019 stands at 2,083,100 which is 3.2 percent down compared to July, 2018. The greatest number of tourists was from Romania, Turkey, Germany, Greece, Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Poland, UK, Serbia, the Czech Republic.
