Gallery of the National Academy of Art presents history of Bulgarian arts through the prism of art

The Gallery of the National Academy of Art hosts an exhibition dedicated to the 140th anniversary since the establishment of the Bulgarian Diplomatic Service. The exhibits are selected from the collection of the artistic fund of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which collected 3,000 works of art. The Diplomacy and Art exhibition, which continues until September 23 includes 21 works of renowned Bulgarian artists, which trace the development of the Bulgarian diplomacy from the first to the last decade of the 20th century. It accentuates on the history of the diplomatic institution by presenting beautiful buildings of Bulgarian foreign diplomatic missions and the painters who worked in them. The exhibition also displays the state orders and insignia bestowed upon Bulgarian and foreign diplomats and statesmen. A special place is given to the outdoor sculpture exhibition of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as to the creation of the important symbols of the state sovereignty – the Bulgarian banknotes and coins.
