Multinational exercises Balkan Bridges – 2019 is taking place in Bulgaria

The multinational exercises Balkan Bridges – 2019 are taking place in Bulgaria as of today until 4 October, as part of the initiative of the chiefs of the general staffs of the Balkan countries for enhancing cooperation in the region.

Almost 200 military personnel from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia and Turkey are taking part. The South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), the NATO Crisis Management and Disaster Response centre and the NATO Joint Force Training Centre in Poland are also represented. The main aim of Balkan Bridges – 2019 is to increase the interoperability of the armed forces of the Balkan countries.
