Princess Dana Firas of Jordan pays visit to Bulgaria

In Sofia, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has had talks with Princess Dana Firas of Jordan, who is UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and chair of the Petra National Trust - Jordan's oldest non-governmental organization for the protection and preservation of cultural and historical heritage.

Special attention has been paid to the development of cultural and historical tourism and of educational programs in the spirit of preserving cultural heritage from an early age. The Bulgarian Prime Minister said his government supported the idea of a firm link between culture and tourism that forms nearly 12% of GDP and together with accompanying activities provides 11 percent of total employment in this country.
