Analysis of carbon pollution from airline flights required

Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov confirmed that after a government decision, he signed on behalf of Bulgaria the recommendation for taxation of airlines for the harmful emissions they generate. According to Goranov, it is too early to say whether this would lead to a rise of the price of airline tickets. The declaration proposed by the Netherlands only identifies the problem but offers no solution. Minister Goranov said that the text calls on the European Commission to analyze the extent to which aviation as a business generates carbon emissions and to offer the European Parliament and the European Council a possible solution.
