Bulgarian companies are among the leading companies in the EU in the use of artificial intelligence. Within the European Union, an average of 42% of companies benefit from this service. In the Czech Republic it is made use of by 61% of companies, and in Bulgaria and Lithuania – by 54% of businesses.
This is due to voice assistants, voice and face recognition systems, targeted advertising algorithms, the survey indicates. The coronavirus pandemic speeded up the application of AI. That is why the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights is calling on the EU countries to enforce legislation for the protection of humans with regard to artificial intelligence which can be a source of mistakes and discrimination that are difficult to challenge, the BTA reports.
