Bus and taxi carriers have been getting ready for a protest on September 28. They announced that transportation in the regional cities of Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Haskovo, Yambol, Ruse, Vidin, Blagoevgrad and Dobrich would be suspended. Protests of the associations in the branch are expected due to the difficult situation of the sector. Protesters call for state support. International carriers warn that they will block the approaches to the border checkpoints "Danube Bridge - 2" and "Kapitan Andreevo".

The industry points out that the protest is not politically oriented. Carriers are demanding compensation for the fuel price surge and say that the 60/40 measure was not effective.

The Union of Bulgarian Motorists also call for a relaxed regime for labor force from Ukraine and Moldova, due to the shortage of Bulgarian staff, BNR reporter Mila Mladenova informed.
