Covid vaccination rate drops by more than 2,000 in past day

3,327 are the new cases of coronavirus registered in Bulgaria for the past 24 hours. 17.5% of the 19,059 tests performed returned positive, according to the portal coronavirus.bg. This is 142 cases less than Wednesday and a drop in the percentage of infected by 2.2 percent. Of the newly infected, 86.74% are unvaccinated citizens.

The number of registered active patients has increased to 55,548. A total of 5,707 patients are currently hospitalized as 487 are in intensive care. 723 persons are newly admitted to hospitals. 89.63% of them are unvaccinated.

In the last 24 hours, 98 people died with established Covid-19. 96% of the deceased were unvaccinated citizens. 

5,563 vaccines were administered on Wednesday, or 2,106 less than on Tuesday. Currently, 1,372,723 Bulgarian citizens are fully vaccinated.
