A special coordination task force will be set up at Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers on March 7, Premier Kiril Petkov said for bTV. 8 cargo vehicles with humanitarian aid are travelling to Ukraine. Bulgaria has developed a programme in support of refugees. Oil prices hit twelve-year highs. Brent crude settled at 140 USD per barrel. “The state will regulate fuel prices and keep fuel and wheat reserves as full as possible”.

"NATO will not close the sky over Ukraine as this step will mean entering into a military conflict with Russia, which will endanger the lives of millions of Europeans", Germany’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock said for ARD. Russia warned that countries hosting Kyiv’s military aircraft could end up being involved in an armed conflict. Romania’s Premier Nicolae Ciuca described Russia’s statement as provocation.

“Poland will not send any military aircraft to Ukraine and will not give permission to use its airfields. We significantly help in many other areas”, the government of Poland wrote on Twitter. Another round of talks between Russia and Ukraine is expected to take place today.
