Ministers Kornelia Ninova and Daniel Lorer: Bulgaria will not send weapons to Ukraine

"The Bulgarian Socialist Party continues to believe that Bulgaria must not provide Ukraine with military assistance", Deputy Premier and Minister of Economy Kornelia Ninova said on the occasion of publications in foreign media that during his visit to Sofia, the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin may ask Bulgaria to transfer S-300 air defense systems to Ukraine. "Bulgaria will not send weapons and ammunition to Ukraine", Bulgaria’s Minister of Innovation Daniel Lorer added.

The cabinet sitting scheduled for March 17 was not postponed due to disputes over the expected visit of the United States Defense Secretary to Sofia, Ministers Ninova and Lorer clarified.
