With a holy liturgy in the church of St.St. Cyril and Methodius this morning, the holiday of the seaside town of Sozopol will be opened. Traditionally, a swimming marathon with a distance of 2 km will be held, and the best participants will receive cash prizes from the municipality.

The program also includes a festive meal and folk fun.
The culmination of the celebration will be the ceremony of awarding the titles of "Honorary Citizen" on the stage of the Summer Theater of Sozopol. Among the honorees will be Olympic bronze medalist in wrestling from Tokyo 2020 Evelina Nikolova and her coach Miroslav Gochev.

The festive day will end with a performance by the Chinari folk ensemble.
