Bulgarian students win medals at international competitions in informatics

Bulgarian students earned medals at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI) and the international competition Romanian Master of Informatics (RMI), held in Bucharest, the Ministry of Education and Science said.

Twelth-gradeAtanas Dimitrov from the Sofia High School of Mathematics won a gold medal at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics and the Romanian Master of Informatics competitions. Tenth-grader Veselin Markovic from the High School of Mathematics in Varna claimed the silver medal at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics and a gold medal at the Romanian Master of Informatics. Boris Mihov, a 10th grader at the Sofia High School of Mathematics, won a bronze medal at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics and a silver medal at the Romanian Master of Informatics. Alexander Gatev, a 10th grader from the Sofia High School of Mathematics, received a BOI certificate of merit. He earned a bronze medal at the Romanian Master of Informatics.

Bulgaria earned 2 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals at the Romanian Master of Informatics competition.
