Employers call on state to provide 80/20 support for businesses, not 60/40

The Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria /KRIB/ has requested amendments to the State of Emergency Act in the section related to state support for businesses. Employers offer three options for amendments to the current text of the law. The first proposal is that the state should pay part of the wages and social security contributions of workers in the same proportion. The second proposal is that the state/employers ratio should not be 60/40, but 80/20. The third proposal is to reduce wages during the crisis.

According to the trade union CITUB, if KRIB's proposals are accepted, fewer people will be able to benefit from the employment retention scheme.
