US President Joe Biden stated he was working to divert natural gas directly to Bulgaria and Poland in response to the suspension of Russian supplies.

"We will not let Russia intimidate or blackmail their way out of these sanctions. We will not allow them to use their oil and gas to avoid consequences for their aggression," Biden was quoted as saying by Reuters.
The White House has asked the US Congress to approve a $ 33 billion budget to help Ukraine, sanctioning the possibility of taking away Russian oligarchs' assets in the United States in favour of Kyiv.
