Bulgaria's health authorities approve EU Digital Covid certificate
Bulgaria's Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov has approved the samples for EU Digital Covid certificate for vaccination against Covid-19 with an order issued today.
The certificate is created in the electronic immunization register after the entry of the vaccination and is provided at the request of the person who received the vaccine against Covid-19 by the medical professional who administered the vaccine or by the general practitioner.
The certificates are for a completed vaccination schedule, an incomplete vaccination schedule and a completed mixed vaccination schedule.
Vaccinated persons will be able to download their digital certificate in electronic format from the website of the National Health Information System.
EU Digital Covid Certificates will be created for all vaccinations carried out by June 1, 2021, as citizens will be able to receive them following the accepted regulations.
The order comes into force on June 1, 2021.

Bulgaria reports 2.2% new daily infections with Covid-19
Bulgaria has registered 293 new cases of Covid-19 in the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Unified Information Portal. 2.2% of the 13,164 samples taken returned positive. The highest number of infections are in Sofia - 57. Only the districts of Vidin, Montana, Ruse and Gabrovo remain red zones in terms of the level of infection of over 120 people per 100,000 population.
There are 21,026 active patients. Of these, 3,295 patients are currently hospitalized. 379 patients are accommodated in intensive care units. 
The death toll from established coronavirus in the last 24 hours is 20 people. A total of 1,838 people were cured during the past day.
A total of 18,212 vaccine jabs were administered in the past day. There are currently 1,321,786 Bulgarians with at least one dose. More than 533,000 people have completed an immunization cycle with two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.


A study of public health services during the pandemic begins
Within 30 days, the National Centre for Public Health and Analysis must conduct an analysis of public health services in the period from March 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021, in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic. This was ordered today by the Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov.
Experts will analyze the causes of the large number of deaths, as well as the impact of the spread of Covid-19 on registered mortality.
The activity of the centres for emergency medical care, the specialized outpatient care, the laboratories and the hospitals will also be subject to analysis. The effect of the implementation of the individual anti-epidemic measures and the vaccination process will also be assessed.

GPs in Bulgaria to vaccinate against Covid-19 also patients outside their patient lists
General practitioners in Bulgaria will be able to vaccinate against coronavirus also persons outside their patient lists. This was ordered by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov with his order issued on May 28. The order has already been sent to the regional health inspectorates, which must notify the medical establishments on the territory of the respective district. 
The measure aims to speed up immunization in the country and thus curb the spread of the pandemic.

Bulgaria invites Russian authorities to inspect Bulgarian resorts
In a letter, Bulgaria's Minister of Social Affairs Galab Donev has invited a delegation of the Russian authorities to visit Bulgarian resorts and on the spot inspect the measures taken for the safety of tourists amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR) has announced.
The letter emphasizes that Russian-Bulgarian relations are based on long-standing traditions and historical ties, and that Russia is a priority tourist market for Bulgaria. It is recalled that before the pandemic hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens chose Bulgaria for their holiday because of the diversity of the Bulgarian tourist product. 
Donev also recalls that from May 1, 2021, Bulgaria opened its borders to Russian tourists, and already issues entry visas.
