Only 28.4% of eligible Bulgarian voters would vote in a new parliamentary election, reads a survey by Gallup International Balkan. The poll was commissioned by BNT and conducted in early August.
25.2% of respondents said they would vote for GERB-SDS, while three parties and coalitions are competing for the second place: We Continue the Change- Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) with 15.2%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) with 14.5%, and Vazrazhdane with 14.2%. The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) comes fifth with 7.3%, followed by There is Such a People (ITN)- 6.2%. The parties Velichie and Mech have a chance of entering the National Assembly with 3.6% and 3.4% respectively. 2.5% of respondents would choose the “None of the above” option.
„Surprises are not excluded in the upcoming parliamentary elections given the expected low voter turnout", commented sociologist Parvan Simeonov. The voters of MRF would almost unanimously prefer a formation led by Ahmed Dogan over a formation led by Delyan Peevski, shows a sociological experiment conducted by Gallup International Balkan.
